Recently, I put out a call for ideas relating to content and topics that people would like me to write about.
Normally, that falls on deaf ears but this time I got a suggestion to do a write-up on RecallGuide. Being that I had never heard of them, I decided to take a look.
RecallGuide.org is a website that is dedicated to letting people know about FDA prescription recalls and side effects of using prescription medications.
Here’s the way it works…
Start by clicking on “My Alerts”, which will lead you to the “Create Account” page. There you will set up a standard account, just like you would anywhere else, and then you will input the drugs you want to track.
These are the prescription medications you are currently taking. The system will actually send you email alerts and information from the FDA about the medications you are tracking. This way you get real-time information about the medications you are tracking.
Not only that, I was really impressed with the depth of knowledge their blog had. With topics such as…
- How medical devices make it to you
- Understanding the FDA approval process
- Legal liability from harm from pharmaceuticals
…you can and in-depth knowledge of the drug industry and how you can protect yourself.
