In looking into free dental care from South Carolina, my first stop was to the South Carolina Dental Association to see if they could provide me with any resources.
They didn’t respond to my information request via email, but I did find three areas of help on their website that could help you…
First, there was a link to South Carolina Healthy Connections, which is the name of the S.C. Medicaid program, which does provide some help to low-income seniors for dental services.
Free Dental Care South Carolina
Next, there was a link to the Dental Access Days provided by the SC Dental Association. This is a traveling road show where seniors and other needy individuals can get access to the dental care they need.
There was no information on any upcoming events so I would suggest that you contact them to find out when the next road show is available.
In addition, there was information on the Donated Dental Services program as well, which works with the SCDA, but once again no information on how to seek the help so you have to reach out to the South Carolina Dental Association and contact them directly for more information.
I couldn’t figure out if this was just a program for kids based upon their website. However, they do accept Medicaid (see above) so make sure to contact them and see if they can help your situation.
The South Carolina Free Clinic Association
As the name suggests, these are free clinics for all medical care, including dental care, in South Carolina. You can find a clinic by visiting here.
And there were other free clinics as well, such as the Greenville free clinic, which accepts dental patients. So the help is there if you need it.
